The Jaw hold all our unsaid words and uncried tears
— Ben Shield

Discover how Craniosacral Therapy (CST) can help your TMJ / TMD, Head & Neck problem

If you’re experiencing Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD)—jaw pain, clenching, clicking, or tightness—CST may offer the relief you’ve been searching for.

Why the Jaw Matters

The jaw is more than just a hinge—it’s often a storehouse for unspoken emotion, unexpressed stress, uncried tears and internal tension. Because of its deep connection to the cranial bones and nervous system, imbalances in the jaw can ripple through the entire head, neck, and even the rest of the body, resulting in :

  1. Headaches, migraines, and facial tension

  2. Dizziness and balance issues

  3. Vagus nerve regulation

  4. Sinus congestion, dry or watery eyes

  5. Neck pain and jaw clenching

  6. Neurological impairments and more

Is Craniosacral Therapy Right for You?

CST is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with the body’s natural rhythms. For TMJ / TMD , it helps release tension in the jaw, neck, and surrounding tissues. Instead of forcing change, CST follows the body’s cues, allowing release and softening to occur naturally. Over time, this can help ease pain and improve jaw movement.

What to Expect During Your Session

In my practice, I offer a safe, nurturing, and confidential space where you can fully let go and embrace your healing journey. This environment fosters exploration and growth, enabling you to connect with your inner self. Your voice, both internal and external, is crucial to your treatment and will always be met with tenderness, compassion and unconditional loving awareness.

Cranialsacral work can be profound, you may feel subtle shifts to the conscious and subconscious and experience detox symptoms following a treatment as your body shifts into a more balanced and harmonious state. These shifts usually settle in a few days.

Recommended Treatment Plan

For optimal results and to fully see if this is the right treatment for you, I recommend a minimum of 3 to 4 sessions. After this initial series, we will assess your healing journey together.

  • For many people, TMJ issues are temporary and can improve with the right care. Some find relief through self-care, while others benefit from gentle therapies like CST. In more stubborn cases, further medical support may be needed.

  • Yes – sometimes it can. With proper rest, stress management, and bodywork like craniosacral therapy, symptoms often ease up over time.

  • There can be slight discomfort when working in the mouth. This will depend on how long the tension has been building up for. All work is done with your comfort and consent, and with respect to the body’s response.
