3 Different ways to Strengthen your own Reiki practice
Sensatising the hand
Sensitizing the Hand Chakras (Slowness if your best friend)
Face your non dominant hand up . Keeping the fingers of your your dominant hand all together and quite low but not touching your skin, first run your fingers along the base of your hand, (where the crease of your wrist is) do this for as long as you want. A energetic sensation will start to emerge at the base of the palm. Then slowly start to bring this energetic energy up the centre of your palm towards the middle finger and up the middle finger. Bring the energy back down to the middle of the palm.
Follow this same technique, bringing the energy up and back down to the centre of the palm for the other fingers including the thumb. Once this has been cultivated, keeping the fingers all together bring them back into the palm of the hand and rotate clockwise. You will start to feel a vortex in the centre of the hand (palm chakra). Then slow pull the finger away from the centre of the hands and envision golden threads coming out of the centre of your palm. Keep pulling on the golden threads.
2. Stillness and Peace - Best to practice this for a week.
This will also help you greatly to bring the mind to peace and stillness during a Reiki Treat. When the mind is still you are more likely to be able to hear your guides helping you.
Sit in meditation and be conscious of your breath - breathing in and out from you belly - the tanden area. Breathe like this until your mind is calm and centred and clear of thought. You may need to practice cultivating this for a few days before continuing as it is vital to the rest of the exercise.
Bring your hands into Gussho as you continue belly breathing, being conscious of your breathe allowing the body to settle again in peace and stillness. After a while you may feel heat and tingling sensation in the hands as the mind clears and becomes quiet. if not then bring awareness to the hands as you breathe in and out from the lower tanden. Sit like this for 30 min. Once this has been cultivated then move on to the last section
Towards the end of the meditation slow and gradually seperate your palms from Gussho until they are about 10cm apart. Keep the breathe the same and you will notice a tingling sensation in your palms. If you try to push them together you may notice and should notice a magnetic sensation between your palms as if it very hard to bring them back together. Play with this energetic ball of Reiki as you keep your mind still and focused.
Bonus advancement
Once you have cultivated the above easily you can advance to this.
In Gussho change the hand position. Keeping the left hand in Gussho move the right hand so that it is at a right angle to the left hand, fingers facing towards the left palm and about 10 cm away. Remain still and you may notice a breeze or energy current radiating from the fingertips of the right hand into the palm of your left hand. When you slowly move you right hand you will sense the movement of air too. Then change hands.
It is best to be Reiki level 2 to practice and listen to this meditation but it can work for Reiki level 1 through intention and the CKR symbol
Guidance and Advice
It is best to practice this with eyes closed. Once confident in the sensation then try and practice with eyes open.
Do these cultivation techniques seated and not lying down.
